We will be at the Fort in November (9-16). I'm wondering where I can rent a boat for an hour or so. I have stayed at the fort before but for the life of me can not remember if I can get one there. I don't mean the canoes/kayaks but like a motorboat like you see on the lagoon. Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks
Bette

Yes, you can rent boats at the Marina. Power Boats and Pontoon Boats as well as the little sprites

This may help.

Rental watercraft at Fort Wilderness Marina (open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily) including: 21' Suntracker pontoons ($34.74/half hr), must be 18 to drive; Mercury Water Mice ($21.59/half hour; $27.23/45 minutes; $30.05/one hour), must be 12 and 5 feet tall to drive. Parent or guardian signature required for all drivers 12-18 years old. At the Bike Barn: canoes, kayaks and paddle boats ($6.50 plus tax/1/2 hour; $11 plus tax/hour) (Prices are estimates, call the Bike Barn at (407) 824-2742 for current pricing.)

At the marina they also offer a AAA discount on boat rentals if you are a AAA member. Every little bit off helps!

I enjoyed the time we took a pontoon boat out and puttered around for an hour or so. I'd like to do it again.

Good luck. pirate:
