Rented points at BWV - what is the "preferred view"?

Just curious what we could get since 2 BR seem to be a dice roll. Are we definitely getting garden/pool view with our preferred view reservation or is there a chance we could get Boardwalk?? We're celebrating my kid's 21st birthday and this is likely our last big trip as a family before they go off into the big world, so we're staying at our fave resort and hoping for an amazing view. We've gotten Luna Park and the Croquet lawn a few times in the past, which are nice.

I'm not familiar with a "Preferred View" is. Where did you book this?

Rental agencies tend to lump Boardwalk View and Pool/Garden View together since they require the same number of points. However, they are actually separate booking categories. Chances are very slim that you got a Boardwalk View 2BR since there are so few of them. They tend to get booked up by owners right at 11 months.

A two bedroom "preferred view" room will not overlook the Boardwalk. Croquet lawn, Luna Park or Quiet Pool are the most likely candidates.

When BWV first opened, Preferred encompassed both P/G and Boardwalk views, and Boardwalk view was a request only. After multiple loud meltdowns at the front desk by owners who didn’t get their requested BW view, they became separate booking categories, but as PP says above, the points cost is the same so the rental agencies don’t distinguish. Your reservation confirmation will say which view you got, but again as per PP, it’s unlikely you got BW view. They book up about as quickly as the Standard views do.
