Our family of 6 is going to DW in May and would like some first hand info on this web site (onlinefloridavillas.com)? The homes all look to be nice, but many of the owners live in the UK. I have gotten some great information already from other posts but would like more info before we decide on a house.

This site is part of the orlandovillas.com family of websites.

Many (although not all) the owners are from the UK. Buying property in Florida is very popular in the UK. That shouldn't prove a problem when renting though.

All the villas on all 3 sites are verified to be genuine by the site owners. You are right there are some great villas and you won't have any problems renting from any of the owners on there.

We have rented an Emerald Island pool home from this site, although our stay is not until next month. I have had several dealings with the owner which have been extremely positive, and have corresponded directly with a previous renter who had a great experience.

I have also haunted the discussion boards over there for about 6 months and I feel that the owners take real pride in their homes -- these are their dream vacation homes, which they spend a lot of time in, not just an investment -- and they are very decent people. A few months ago, someone posted that he was stuck ina dirty rental home (NOT from that website, from another site) and people on orlandovillas.com actually let him and his family stay for free in one of their homes -- they had it all arranged within a few hours and saved the family's whole vacation.

I'll be sure to post a trip report when we return in early March!
