Rental vehicles from the port

Has anyone ever rented a car from the port -- gone back to WDW and then to the airport?

We just got a change in our flight to return home on 6/12 -- we don't leave until 6:15!! It seems like a waste of a day just to sit around an airport when could be having so much fun at WDW.

What's available? And can I get some honest feed back.

We rented a car at the port (used Budget) and it went very very smoothly. We were headed to Univresal (where we were staying for 5 days) and we had checked into our hotel, gone to our room, flaked out for a short while and we were in the park by 11:30 am. We did not rush at all. Could easily have been at the parks by 10:00am.

Also as an alternative idea, I have heard that you can rent a day room at the Hyatt MCO so can use the room, pool etc.

For budget, we waitied for the shuttle for maybe 5 mins, drove to Budget (about a 5 min drive, got our car (maybe another 5 to 10 minutes) and we were thenon the road to Orladno (45 mins to 1 hr dependingon where you are headed)

Budget's shuttle seems to be the least crowded, and you can get awesome one-way rates if you book them via Hotwire's one-way rental link. The drive isn't too bad...easy to follow the signs.

Got great rates from Budget from the airport to ship for $29 includes tax and from Thurs- Sunday to WDW then airport for $128 includes tax for a mid sized car. Not too bad to me!
