Rental Strollers

I figured Disneyland's double rental strollers would be similar to Disneyworld's - the hard plastic low to the ground ones. Instead, it seems like maybe they don't even have doubles, and you have to rent 2 strollers if you want doubles? I have a 4 and a 6 yo and we do not use a stroller anymore for mall trips, etc., as they are old enough to handle it, but I know they will need SOMETHING for marathon Disney days. Any advice? I am considering bringing our old sit and stand and then just leaving it at the hotel at the end of our trip - if it survives the trip!

I don't recall seeing double rental strollers at DL.
I like your idea of taking a sit and stand...considering your LO's ages. Personally, I prefer to bring my own stroller. Saves $ too.

I would prefer our own but since we are flying across the country, it's a bit of a PITA. I am mostly concerned about fitting it into the rental car w/all of the luggage.

If you rent a stroller from Disney you won't have it to walk from hotel to park. Depending on ages of your kids and distance to the hotel this may or may not be a problem. A couple of years ago I rented a stroller from the company Babys Away and had a great experience. It was a similar price to renting from Disneyland, they picked up and delivered to our hotel and I had it from the hotel to the parks. It was great. Their weekly rate for a double stroller is $50. Stroller rentals were $25 for one or $35 for two for the day. If you leave the park for an afternoon break , you will have to return the stroller. If you return later, show your receipt and you will get another stroller. On day 6 of our trip, we rented strollers for our 7 and 9 year old daughters. Some strollers are harder to turn so test out first. Also, we had strollers "taken" three different times while we were riding rides. I suggest putting something in the stroller that isn't valuable. (Our strollers "taken" didn't have anything in them.) If your stroller is "taken", take your receipt to the stroller rental spot and you will get a replacement.

I just made a reservation at city stroller rental, $75/week for a double and includes delivery to your hotel and pick up. They were really nice and helpful. Cheaper than disney, you can get a double, and you can use it to go to/from your hotel and not just the park. Seems pretty good to me.

Oh, and I think the stroller is a city mini double, not that wide, can get through a door....

We rented a stroller several times last week and I don't have the receipts in front of me but I am sure it was $15/day for one stroller and the sign said
$25/day for 2 strollers. There were no double strollers.

We didn't have any problem with it being taken but it must happen fairly regularly because they mentioned to save the receipt and bring it back to get another. The stroller rental is outside the DL gate so it could be a long walk to get another stroller which would be annoying.
