Rental Question

We plan to take Magic Express to the resort, but then want to rent a car at the end of our resort stay so that we can travel to Vero Beach. Is there a place on property to rent a car? Can DH take the ME to the airport just to rent a car?

There are many places to rent a car on-site and close to on-site. The on-site locations are the Car Care Center, the Dolphin, and Shades of Green. These are National/Alamo locations. Near Downtown Disney, you will find many of the major car rental companies. Or, you could take ME back to the airport to rent a car there.

As PP noted, your DH can take DME back to airport to pick up the car. Every resort guest is provided one roundtrip from MCO to WDW resort, good anytime during your stay.

It might be worth it to take a little time and price it out both ways: picking up at WDW and picking up at MCO to compare rates. Sometimes MCO comes out cheaper, sometimes the local WDW branch.

You might also consider checking the cost of a week-long rental as those are sometimes discounted better than the daily rates.
