Rental Drop off When Closed

What is the procedure for dropping off an Alamo at the Dolphin or the Car Care Center after it is closed? How would we get back to the hotel from the car care center? Dolphin I assume we can just hope a bus to a park then on to AKV. Which is located closer to AKV?

Thanks we usually don't rent but thought it would easier than a grocery order.

That's why I am leaning toward the Dolphin but I thought I would see if anyone has better knowledge than me since we very rarely rent.

The direct phone number for the Car Care Center should be on your reservation confirmation page. If you haven't made a reservation, try Google, or Four11.com, or any other yellow pages-type site.

Call and ask someone. I would think, though, that cars can't be returned to the CCC when it's closed because there's no way for them to know that/if it was returned on time. Note: it's also a bad idea to just decide on one's own to return a car to the Dolphin instead - NOT, of course, that anyone in this thread would ever even consider such a move...

The confirmation will have whatever I decide to reserve so that is not an issue. I will call tomorrow, but we all know how reliable phone information is that is why I was trying to get some first hand knowledge.

I did call the number on my resie and guess what........................


When I did get through it was National's reservation center in Salt Lake City!!!

And yes I can return the car "after hours" as it is allowed and is stated on the reservation, "The Return Station is Closed for the return time you have chosen. Please check the rental counter for special drop-off instructions when you pick up your vehicle."

Great idea, I am calling tomorrow and asking about returning it to the Dolphin instead, as rentals are and can be returned at a different place other then the place it was rented..................

The price was cheaper for us to rent at MCO and return to either the CCC or Dolphin so are going that route. I was happy with a 3 day rental for $54.
