To 'pay' for the rental car - Yes.

But renting the car with Visa Debit Cards can be difficult. Most of the major rental car companies will not 'rent' a car using a debit card alone.

Yes, as long as it has the Visa logo on it, it can be used as a 'credit' transaction. The money will come out of your checking account. Also make sure that you have enough 'extra' money in there in case the car rental company issues a 'hold' (a security deposit in case there is damage to the car).

It depends on the rental car company. I suggest contacting the agency you wish to rent with what their policy is.

Yes, you can use a debit card to rent and pay for a rental car. We rent from Alamo every year at MCO and the only thing we use is a debit card and driver's license. It has never been a problem.
