Rental Cars from Airport

Don't shoot me -- I know that there are probably a zillion threads on this topic, but I just booked an impromptu trip for two weeks from now (2/13 -2 /18), and have absolutely no time to plan (or learn how to search the right way -- I'm a new member).

What rental car agency is the easiest to deal with at the airport (i.e. proximity, lines, helpfuless). I don't need the absolute cheapest, but won't pay an outrageous price just for ease of pick-up.

Thanks in advance, not only for the replies, but also for tolerating what is, almost definitely, a daily question on this board!

We are a FASTLANE member & always go with Dollar. We find it's pretty no-hassle.

In fact, I literally just rebooked a car for Feb 21 - Feb 28 & saved over $100 going from an SUV to a minivan. Gotta love those codes.

We have used most of them; here is the quick rundown:
Alamo: tends to have the longest line and the hardest insurance push, although the line is a matter of when you arrive. But fine if the price is right.
National: Same cars as Alamo and no insurance push or line.
L & M: No line, no pressure.
Budget: Line varies depending on time of day, but usually not as bad as Alamo. Insurance pitch is usually low key.
Avis: No line (except once), no pressure.
Hertz and Thrifty are off site but have painless shuttles. We have used both of them often too. We tend to either go through Priceline or use the cheapest we can find.
