Rental Cars @ Dolphin

We are staying at the Boardwalk and at the end of our stay we need to rent a car to drive on to Tampa for a wedding. Can you walk from the Boardwalk to the Dolphin? I remember them being close but I'm not sure how close. Does anyone have any experience renting from the Dolphin?

I usually stay at the Swan or Dolphin, and walk to Epcot by way of the Boardwalk. You can rent from National or Alamo at the Dolphin, but make sure you reserve ahead and plan to pick-up the car between 8-4.

The Boardwalk and Dolphin a 5-minute walk, and that's at my "sauntering" pace. Definitely do-able.

Also check Disney's Car Care Center for rates. They will pick you up at your resort. Even though the 2 Alamo agencies are very close to each other, the CCC sometimes has lower rates.

We've rented a few times with pick up at the Dolphin. Never had a problem. Also, we have dropped the car off late the night before the return date and just told the valet it is a rental return. The walk from BW to Dophin is 5-10 minutes.
