Rental Car

Can anyone recommend the best/ most convenient car rental at Port Canaveral. We only need to use it from the port to airport, and a few hours around town. We are using magical express to the hotel and then dcl line shuttle to get to the port. We would use dcl back to the airport but we have a late flight and don't want to spend 10 hrs at the airport. Thanks

Most of the major car rental agencies have locations near the port with free shuttles. You'll want to do your research as to rates for your specific dates, it seems to vary who has the best rate when. Make sure that there isn't a one-way or drop-fee -- that can really bump up the price! Keep looking, as I've found most car rental deals come out about 3-6 weeks prior to when I need the rental, so not too far in advance. The good thing about car rentals is that you can cancel if you find a better rate next week.

You might want to check out this thread for the locations of the various car rental companies near Port Canaveral.

I'd buy based on price, not distance from the port, since they are all fairly nearby. The time on the shuttle bus will only vary by about 5 minutes.

We almost always use Budget. We get the best rates using coupon codes online and take a minivan from MCO and take their shuttle to the port..... and then another rental from the port to MCO.
