Rental Car

Anyone know who offers cash rentals.Thought about driving my own vehicle down .Now I am thinking about taking the train I really just need a car to go to grocery store or perhaps the mall for some Christmas shopping.Just for the sake of convenience.Definitely no more than 2 daysThen maybe get an owners locker for any extras we do not want to carry back.Any thoughts?

Credit card requirements are pretty standard in the industry, though some companies will accept a debit/credit type card.

Even 30 years ago, before I had a major credit card and before the were as common, it was impossible for me to rent a car without a credit card from one of the major companies.

If you have a credit card, maybe you could secure the rental with that, but pay cash when you return the car.

I'm moving this to the transportation forum, as it really isn't a DVC specific topic. And folks there may be more familiar with the local rental companies.

You can check each agency's policy for cash rentals, but I think they're pretty prohibitive.

Instead, you could: take a taxi from the train station to Disney (Kissimmee is closer than Orlando); use gardengrocer.com or wegoshop.com delivery for your groceries; take the Lynx Route 111 bus between Downtown Disney and Florida Mall, or a taxi or Mears to the outlet malls.
