Rental car, is this a decent deal?

It's been about 10 years since we rented a car at Disney, once DH and I discovered towncars and then ME we decided renting a car was just a hassle for us. However, in August we're going to the Star Wars Celebration V convention which is at the Orange County Convention Center, and we'll be using our DVC points to stay at BWV, so this time we'll need the car. Since it's been so long, I have no idea if I've found a decent deal or not...

I just booked a compact from Alamo at the Dolphin, picking up at 8am on Thursday and returning at 8am on Monday for $118.70 total including taxes/fees. I used our BJ's code which also includes the additional driver so that either of us can drive. I priced National as well, but it ended up about $15 more.

I'm sure we could probably get a car at the airport cheaper than that, but DH would rather take ME to and from the airport so that we don't have to deal with our bags- yup he's that spoiled!!

Should I keep checking for something cheaper as it gets closer to August, or does that sound like the best I'll be able to find and I'd just be wasting my time?

That sounds like a good price. You may be able to find a free weekend day coupon somewhere or another discount as you get closer. Check Mousesavers for codes and discounts.

I think that sounds really good. At the airports rentals are generally more than offsite. Though the car center at WDW is one of the few places that this is not the case. I'd really take it, that's only $30 a day.

Sounds like a good rate. I have been looking today and seems that BJ's is the best I have come across today.

Thanks everyone! Robin, I used my BJ's rate ID with the free day coupon and which brought it down to $112.73 and I still get the additional driver, thank you.

Of course I just found out that parking at the convention center is $11/day but even adding that in it's still cheaper than taking a taxi or towncar back and forth for 4 days.
