Rental Car in WDW?

Hello,

First let me say, that I am a meticulous planner. I am fine with changing our plans once we are down there, but I like to have everything planned so that our vacation (especially the travel aspect of it) goes off without a hitch! This is a new scenario for us this trip, and I am unfamiliar with the whole rental car process.

We are currently booked for a split stay at OKW and then BWV in September/October. Friends just invited us to go with them the weekend before we have booked at OKW, to stay with them in their timeshare. Since we haven't booked our flights yet, we decided to go down early and spend the weekend with them before checking into OKW.

We will need to rent a car to get from the airport to their resort and to the parks each day until we check into OKW (then we plan to turn in the car and use WDW transportation like we always do).

Do you have any suggestions on how to reserve the car? (Online with vendor or through Priceline??) What is a reasonable price to pay and are there any additional fees (I have rented a car since the year 2000!) that we will need to pay at drop off?

When we return the car, is there anywhere on property that we can return the car so that we don't have to drive back to the airport? Is there an additional fee for this?

Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated!

First off, let me say I have not actually gone through the entire rental process from start to end yet, but wanted to let you know that I made my reservation online through Alamo. They rent through the Disney Car Care Center on property, so perhaps if you book through them, you can pick up at airport and drop off at Disney Car Care Center. Depending on the time you will be dropping off, they have a shuttle which can take you to your resort if it's before a certain time, and that is complimentary.

Yes the Alamo at the car care center is the perfect choice for you...have used them in the past. very easy!
