Rental Car Help quick please

Dilema PLEASE help

I am trying to find a rental car (need 6 passenger vehicle) for 16 days... The best rate I can find is $800.00. We were planning on driving but just found airline tickets for 119 RT, but if the rental car is going to 800 then it is not worth it to fly! We need to book tickets today if we can --i am so afraid the rate will go away.

Any suggestions.. anyone been for that long and gotten a better rate or is this the best we can get. I have tried putting in codes from National/Alamo and Avis nothing seems to be getting me a better rate. Our dates are Aug 24-Sept 9. We are staying off site so rental car is a must.

Try the alamo rate code qvw it is givivng the best raes for minivans that time of year. Just about any afiliation code works with it.

You just have to keep playing around with the codes. Check mousesavers.com, as well as rentalcodes.com, both have coupons, etc. Keep trying. I had initially booked a full size for 180, and am now at 130. I would say book the airline tickets, and then keep searching for the rental car. Keep in mind that sometimes SUVs are cheaper than minivans.
