Rental Car - Good Rate???

We currently have a full-size SUV with Alamo for 10 days (5/3 - 5/13) at a total of $315.86--which also includes an additional driver.

Does this sound like a good rate or can I do better? I know it is more than I've paid in previous years--(last year I paid .02 more for 16 days!!) but seems like everyone is paying more lately. We do need either the SUV or a minivan, but minivans are running more expensive.

Any thoughts, ideas or better rates???

That looks like a pretty good rate to me. What codes did you use?

I checked Dollar, and using the KISS2 code a minivan for those same days is running $318.24, but doesn't include an extra driver.

I think with the additional driver that is a pretty good rate. I got a mini-van for 7 days for $263 over President's week but then the additional driver was something like $8-9/day. So, for 10 days that doesn't sound too bad.

It is now $258.20 with Alamo using the costco code 675899 and coupon code AD2089DDM including taxes and additional driver. You do not need your costco membership since they do not ask for it.

We actually have a full size SUV for the $315.86 price at Alamo. I'm afraid we will be a tight squeeze with 5 of us plus luggage in the mid-size.
