Rental Car for Family w/ 6???

What size van would you recommend for a family of 6? It will be 4 adults and 2 children in carseats. We will probably have four med to lg. suitcases and either 1 med or 2 small. Also, two umbrella strollers.

My dh wanted to rent a lg. (15 pass) van, which it way more than needed. I thought maybe a minivan, but not sure about where the luggage would go. I have a Tahoe at home with 3rd row seats, but nowhere to hold all the luggage except on roof and husband refuses to do that. How big is the Grand Caravan? Where does the luggage fit in these minivans? I'm not familiar with them at all.

Price for 15 pass van would be 488. for a 8 days. Does anyone know where you can rent a fullsize van besides the 15 pass van?

Remember even if you are a little squished going from airport to hotel, you're not going to ride around with all that luggage all the time.

I have a caravan (not the Grand), and on the way to the airport last July with 7 people in the van (including 2 in carseats) we fit all our luggage and double stroller. We probably had 1 large suitcase, 1 small suitcase & 2 large duffel bags.

Thanks, but we are driving. It's about a 10 hour drive, so being squished with luggage isn't going to work.
