Rental Car Codes for Hawaii

Hi Everyone:
I was wondering if anyone has any rental car codes for Kauai. Or if there are some sites I could check out. We are there July 8-15. Would love to get a convertible but big difference in price for intermediate to convertible. Thanks for all your help!

Aloha. Looks like you'll be in Kauai the week before we get there. I have no idea on what codes are available, but I always used this outfit called Discount Hawaii Car Rental to reserve my rental car while in Hawaii. Since I am a new member of this board, it won't allow me to post their website, but if you type the name of the outfit without spaces it will take you there. They have some arrangement with car rental companies for a discount. You pay the rental agency directly rather than to this outfit when you get to the airport (they only make the reservation for you). It doesn't cost you anything to use their service, and it has worked well for me so far. I will be using them again for my upcoming July trip to Big Island and Kauai. Where are you staying in Kauai?

Thanks for the info. I will check out both sites. We were there two years ago but our rental was included with our package. Hopefully I can get a great price for a convertible! I'll let ya know how I make out. Mahalo!

One thing that you should be aware when booking car rental in HI is that they charge a mandatory $3 per day road tax on top of the rental price, and then you need to add tax of 11% or so to that sum to arrive at the final price.
