Has anyone arrived to pick up a car and been asked for "proof" of where you got a code from? I was reading on another site people are having to bring in printed copies of codes. Am I to expect this??? :confused3 I was just trying to use what Mousesavers.com had posted and am getting worried. :guilty:

We've never been asked for a code either. We've rented from National, Budget and Alamo. They will ask for the coupon, if you use one, and you're membership card, if you are a member. They've never asked for a copy of the code.

There are some that you need to prove you're a member of, such as American Express or Sam's Club, things like that but codes you get off Mousesavers (unless it specifies you have to be a member), are ok to use.

This is why I always confirm where the code came from and if I am truly eligible for it. :) I do not like surprises, at all. If there is any chance I don't qualify for the discount, I don't even consider it.

Mousesavers always gives the terms and conditions for the codes it lists. I definitely trust Mary Waring, as she would not give out a code unless she had thoroughly checked its validity. Ms. Waring has saved me so much $$$ in the past . . . and I cannot thank you enough. :thumbsup2

If you use an Entertainment coupon you should expect to surrender it at the time of rental - we've always had to!
