Rental Car Car Seats

Ok. Let's hear the down and dirty. Who all have used Car Seats in the Car Rentals? Please tell me your experiences good or bad.

We rented a car seat from Budget last summer when we went to Vero Beach and it great. Actually it was a brand new seat... I saw them take it out of the plastic wrap. I'm doing it again in four weeks when we head to "Mickey's House" for the week.

Used a rental car seat at National at MCO....

Very Clean seat.....

We always bring our own, not because they were dirty but because we went to get our car one night and the rental company had no seats left. We had to wait forty minutes for them to find a seat. I just check them and then the kids have their own seat when we get to Florida.

We rented a carseat from Enterprise in San Antonio, TX once, ugh GROSS, all the seats were extremely dirty. Fortunately we had a Sit´n stroll waiting for us at my uncle´s apartment (we are from Mexioc), so we only used the rented carseat for the 10 min. ride.

We always travel with the sit´n stroll, though it is neither the best stroller nor the best carseat, but at least it is clean, we know its history and how to install it.

We have rented a GM Venture minivan twice, it has an integrated carseat, so that might work too. Definetly better that the carseat we rented that other time.

I suggest bringing your own seat. The time to be learning how to use a different car seat is not at the stoart of your vacation. You also don't know the "history" of the car seat or how old it is.
