Rental agreement for owners looking to rent their points.

Curious... how does a person do a charge back via PayPal??? I’m a little upset that a renter can do that!

I don't know of anyone personally that has done a charge back for a rental, but I do know of a dog sitter that provided the service and after the fact the dog owner contacted PayPal for a charge back, saying she never received the service and they believed her and contacted the sitter that she owed PayPal the money back.
Paypal has the most horrible customer service, I only use them absolutely necessary. The only payment they will guarantee is a tangible product.

I have always used Paypal...but honestly, have only transferred a few times and rented a few times on my own. Most of the transactions were with the same person from DIS.

My last rental was with a broker and won’t do that again. For transfers, I require full payment.

When do you require the full payment when you transfer points? I've thought of doing this but I'm scared that if I transfer the points first and they do not pay there is no recourse to get the points back. On the other hand I'm not sure an individual would feel comfortable to pay first and then see the points moved.

I will not transfer until I get payment in full. Once it’s in my PayPal account, I do the transfer,

It is a matter of trust but the few times I did it, the owners were from the DIS community so we both felt good,

I would not transfer any other way and I understand not all would be comfortable with having to pay upfront. If a person was not, I would understand but move on to the next person.

They could say you didn’t provide them with services as agreed and then you are out the points and money.

But Paypal says it shouldn't be used for timeshares, so you take your chances if the person tries to ask for a refund.
