Rent/transfer question

Is it possible for me to transfer some points from my account to someone else's before the start of my use year?

To clarify the question: I have used all the points from this use year. My new use year starts in March 2005. I want to transfer some points to the account of a family member so that they can make a reservation in November 2005. Is this possible or would I have to wait until the new use year begins in March 2005 to make transfers?

You will be allowed to make the transfer now. I've done exactly that twice before.

Just be careful as MS can't easily track either the original home resort or use year of the transferred points. I'd do it by email and be clear in the email you want them available to use for Nov, 05.
