What should I do about strollers? I have a 5 and 3 year old. I know we will need some kind of stroller. I have 2 plain umbrella strollers but no canopy or basket on them. Should I buy some new umbrella strollers with canopies and baskets or should we rent a double stoller in the parks. How much are the rental strollers in the park? We will be going for 4 days next month. This is our 1st trip with the kids.

We will be going in June and have a 2 1/2 and 5 year old also. We plan on renting the double strollers (we did this when we went in 2003). They cost $15 per day and I think the single strollers are $7.00 per day. Hope this helps! :earsgirl:

Just a suggestion, but we always take our own stroller. The ones at the parks are hard plastic and not too comfy; at least our son said so; we couldn't get in one of those suckers if we tried!! Also, our son is tall for 5 and just doesn't fit right in there.

we brought our 2 umbrella strollers for 2 of our DD's (2 and 4 at the time). not only were they great in the park, but also in the airport. it made getting around with 3 DD's and our luggage much easier. also, if you rent, you won't have a stroller at the resorts, which can be a problem at the end of a long day!

our umbrella strollers had baskets, but not canopies, and it wasn't a problem for us. of course that was in january, so the sun wasn't as strong as in the summer months.

also, with 2 strollers as opposed to 1 double, we were able to split up when necessary. the umbrella strollers were no problem at all on busses or the monorail since they are so light and they fold up so easily.

have a great trip! princess: princess: princess:

I was going to rent a stroller too for my dd3. After reading this post it really made me change my mind. Carrying a 3 year old (30 pounds) at the end of a long day on the transportation and back to the hotel might be difficult!

I disagree that it's easier to have a stroller at the end of the day. If you have to get the kids to a bus, then break down both strollers, then carry both children, and both strollers on to a bus, it's a nightmare. Add TTC to the mix and you're doing the same on a tram? Forget it.

Now if you're at a monorail resort or WL, from MK and Epcot that doesn't apply.

If you decide to rent, purchase a multiple day pass on your first day and you'll reduce your wait time for subsequent days and save a little money.
