I am beginning to play a trip next June 1-8 for myself, my mom, and DD6. I have gone in Sept. 2010 and Nov. 2011 and stayed at POQF both times. I really like POFQ because it is small and quiet. However, on my June 2013 I am thinking about renting points and staying in one of the villas. There are pros and cons to each and I don't know what I want to do. Here's there resorts I'm considering.

POFQ
POR
Boardwalk Villas
Old Key West
Saratoga Springs

On our trip we will be going to EPCOT 2x, MK2x, AK 1x, and HS 1x as well as going to DTD a couple times. We will not be on the DDP, but will have 5 table services. I'm considering, Captain's Grille, 50's Prime Time, Grande Floridian Cafe, Ohana, and what ever DD decides she wants. We will eat breakfast in our room because we are not big breakfast people and don't need to waste money on food we won't eat. We will do some counter service meals, more if we stay in a mod. If we stay in a villa we will eat some in the room since we can make a few things in the microwave. We like quiet areas and don't like to be around crowds of people. We would like to be close to walk to places or take a boat. We don't might walking, in fact I'd rather walk that have to stand and wait for a bus if the bus stop is crowded.

Renting points at any of these villas is cheaper than getting a standard room at either moderate without a discount. With a 20% discount, the prices are very similar.

I've never rented points and it makes me a bit nervouse that I can't cancel, but it is a good way to stay in a villa and be able to afford it.

So what should I do? Any and all comments welcome, good and bad about each resort.

I will tell you the rooms at OKW are some of the biggest on property. The studios have 2 queen beds and the kitchenette and the bigger ones have a full kitchen and washer/dryer in them! We love the space so I would say rent points!

I think if you're clear on the differences between renting and booking through CRO (housekeeping, cancelation, etc.) -- and it sounds like you are -- then you should try renting points at Boardwalk. The location is amazing, it will let you walk to parks on three of your days. Plus the pool/slide are lots of fun!

Good luck with your decision! :goodvibes
