Really new to this and trying to figure it out. I'm looking into changing my current res in May at BC hotel to BCV. I think I need 314 points but I definitely only want to change if I can get a 2 bedroom at BCV. Do I call (and who might that be) first to check on availability then try to get points? Can they hold the res until I can get the points? How in the heck is this coordinated!?

Thanks for any help!

What you need to do is have a DVC member call and check for availability. They are the ones that must call in the reservation. What I request from those that want to rent points is that, I get your phone number and physical address prior to making a reservation. I like to get on the phone and speak with you confirm your dates and agree on a price prior to calling Member Services (where DVC members call for reservations). That way if there is room available I can reserve it right then and there instead of hanging up tell you there is room and then calling back hoping that there is still room available ( you would be amazed how fast availability changes) Also I like to your if you have alternate resorts that you would be happy with if there is no availabilty at your first choice.

Kind of a long answer, but I hope this helps. I do have points to rent, please let me know if you would like me to help. Mclark@verio.net

PS. There is an element of trust involved both ways so you need to feel comfortable with the person you are dealing with. Have fun.
