Rent Car or Magical Express

We will be at Kidani from Fri-Wed (end of month) and need to rent a car for at least one day to visit my grandmother in Melbourne. My initial rental was just for 2 days (Sat/Sun) from the CCC and we would use DME to/from the airport.

The thing is that I'm wondering how much of a hassle it will be to pick up the car mid-day on Saturday (MK-CCC) and then drive back to Kidani to pick up the carseat, and then back to MK to pick up my family and off to Melbourne. Figure the reverse on Monday, mid-way through an AKL park day.

The reason we want 2 day of rental are to hit the grocery (way back from Melbourne) and visit AoA Sunday night.

The reason I am thinking of a duration rental (pickup/dropoff at MCO) is that we have 8:15 YES class on Saturday (guessing it is easier to drive vs. depend on bus) and considering driving out for a rocket launch Tuesday night. The price only goes up $90...so $205 vs. $295. It is a shortish trip, so I don't want to spend a lot of time dealing with a car rental, KWIM?

I think it's nice to have a car at WDW, just in case you want to quickly drive to a park sometimes, or have the option to go to Melbourne, Cape Canaveral, etc. The rental options at MCO or nice, and don't normally involve having to ride a shuttle to get to distant lots there. This would be a lot less hassle than to rent a car mid-trip somewhere.

But if you still wish to rent a car mid-trip, you can also rent at the Dolphin, if that makes things any easier. I used it on a trip once, and it was a very easy thing there.

I have rented a car mid trip just to go shoping and dining and it was easy It takes an likes 1 hourout of of your trip if you get the car form Disney Car care center I took me 15 min to take the shutle to care care center and 5 min in the car care center it was faster then geting a car at the airport . and the return was jsut as fast .
