We will be arriving at RPR late in the morning on 10/2 for a four-night stay. This is our first trip to US/IOA! I do not have a fancy schmancy Lowe's membership -- just the basic one. We generally use Marriott or Hilton brands when we travel. I would, however, like to request a renovated room at check in. How do I do this? Are they still just working in Tower 1? Just on the high floors? Would like to avoid massive noise if possible.

Gee, I don't ask for much, do I? :rolleyes1

Any idea WHAT I should request?

We were at the RPR in mid-August and they were working their way down from the top floor in Tower 1. We like Tower 1 because you can take the stairs down and be half-way to citywalk when you exit.

There was noise that started at 8:00 am. We were up by then so we didn't care. All we did was request a renovated room when we checked in around noon. The room wasn't ready at check-in but they phoned me with the room number around 4:00 pm. We left our bags with the bellman.

We liked the room, new bedding and fresh paint. While we are Lowes Gold, I don't think it mattered. If you sleep late, forget it - some here have complained about the noise.

Just ask them if they have a renovated room available. They started in Tower 1 and from the 7th floor and worked their way down. Last i heard, they were on the 4th or 5th floor.

Thanks, folks! I am guessing the higher one would be, the less chance of noise? Heck, by early October they may be down to the lowest floors!!!
