Renovated loops...?

I have been reading about the new improvements made to the loops, but I'm confused. We are going in November for a weekend and again next year for Halloween.
I just finished talking to reservations about the loops that will be available for my res. and I was told that it would be only 1700 or 1900 because we only want FHU. We don't care about pets or cable ( we don't have a pet right now and since we live in the area we won't be watching TV-we're getting away from home!). Are these loops not going to be updated at all? If we had pets and wanted FHU we would be placed in 1600 or 1800 I was told. We have always stayed in the 1100 or 1300 loops so have not really paid too much attention to the others, are the 1700/1900 good loops? We will have a 10 yo with us so we were hoping to be close to the playground like the 1100/1300 loop is. We take our bikes every time so traveling around is easy for us.

First of all, welcome to the Disboards!!

The information coming from the Fort management about what loops are going to be what has been a bit confusing, to say the least. As you know, the 1100 and 1300 loops have been full hook up loops. I believe these loops are now scheduled to become premium loops. This means expanded concrete pads, and a new grill and picnic table. The 1600-1900 loops are not going to get expanded pads, or new grills or picnic tables, but they are going to get cable. There has been substantial work done on these loops, and they are pretty nice. I think the 1700 loop is now a lot like how the 1100 loop used to be. It is not far from the 1700 loop to the Meadows area, and there is a big playground there.

I have a trip report going here, and I will be posting some photos of the 1700 and 1900 loops within the next day or two, so look for that.
