Reno. Baby!!! update~4-11

YEE HAA!!

DH got a new job!.. he will now only commute 15 miles down uncrowded roadways to the next town! YAY!! No more commute to Silicon Valley! YAY!

anyway we are celebrating with a quick trip to Reno!
no time for a big vacation so a little time shakin' some dice, eatin' some buffet and adding cards up to 21 will suffice!!

so please pass on some lucky pd... mama's DD needs a designer wedding dress!!!

I am so excited.. no cooking, cleaning for a couple days.. now THAT is a vacation to me.

We are controlled gamblers.. only take less than we can afford to lose. but we enjoy a wee bit of gambling.. I just giggle when I win 2 bucks.... I am easily thrilled!

update.......


yeeee haaaaa!! ok so I get excited over little things.. but we had a great time! The Reno Hilton was fun for the girls too.. (14 year olds) and we even came home with money in our pockets!!!

For those of you who do a bit of gambling... I played Three card poker... on my fourth hand I got a great hand... THREE.. Fours!!!!
That pays 30 -1 YAY! on my bitty $5 bet.. so it was a win of $175 for the whole bet of ante, pairsplus, and bet.. ($15)
Also won a wee bit at Blackjack and at Roulette... Sorry Debs your number didn't come up.. but my soon to be SIL's was the first number to hit when we sat down.. luckily I had placed a bet on it!!
DH also came out ahead at the end of the trip.. so it was just a good time for both. Usually I do electronic check out.. but since we had the cash I went down to pay at the desk.. the bill was supposed to be $152 for two nights/two rooms. Well the computer screwed up and the clerk called the manager. She was such a sweetheart.. she said well you waited so patiently... how bout we say $76 for both rooms for both nights! YAY!!! AND... they had given us $40 in food credit. We enjoyed the ceramics workshop, the go carts, the mini golf, the bowling alley and arcades.. Wow! Everybody was happy with the trip.

Thanks for a the good wishes! It surely was appreciated!

WTG Joan--no worries that my number did not hit. It's all good.

We did the same in Vegas when we hit (both times) we just marched down to the front desk and paid off a night of the room. (We had already paid one night, and our winnings let us pay for 2 more.)
