Rennaisance @ Sea World

Has anyone stayed there? We're going to Sea World this weekend, and got a good rate at the Rennaisance. I've never been. Any opinions?

I would do a search of the hotels review forum for this one. I am going to move this over to the accomodations board- I'm sure someone who has stayed there will see it.

I haven't stayed in a while. but I use to love it. big lobby - great space. the rooms were big too.

now AAA gives it a 4 star and doesn't give most of the WDW hotels a 4 stars - you can see for yourself if it deserves it or not.

Thanks Spiceycat. I'll post how it was when we get back. We got an $89.00 Gov. rate on their website. That is an incredible deal! I think the regular rate was about $179.00!

My wife's best friend is the HR director at this hotel. We stayed there at a "discounted" rate back in April of this year and really enjoyed it. They were doing a little bit of construction while we were there for just one night, but all in all it was a really nice place. If you're going to be spending any time at SeaWorld it is even that much better!

Its a very nice hotel (I loved the lobby) and they have/had the BEST brunch EVER....of anywhere.

They are remodeling the lobby, so I'm not sure how it looks now, or how much the construction will hinder your stay or not.

Well we did end up staying there and it was great. Our room was huge, not a suite, but still very spacious. There was construction in the lobby, but it didn't effect us at all. The pool area was very nice, and of course the convenience to Sea World made it all so easy!
