I wondering if anyone has had this situation and what happened....when it comes time to renew our APs with the DVC discount, my DS will be 10 and in need of an adult AP:scared1: Will I be able to renew his child AP and just pay the upgrade to the adult AP or will I have to start all over with a new adult AP?:confused3

We had an Child AP bought for our daughter when she was 8. When the renewal came due and she was 9, I asked "what about when she turns 10 next year, but within this pass' use year?" and was told that she would get the full year at the age/price in place when purchased and on her next renewal the pass price/type would be adjusted. Sure enough, when she was 10 and we got the renewal email, it was for an adult price pass.

That's exactly the info I was looking for!:thumbsup2 Thanks so much, BigTigger:tigger:

An interesting side note, as I understand it Disney does not penalize a child for growing up. If you were to purchase a MYE with no expiring option when the child is under ten, the unused days may still be used by that child even after they are considered and "adult".

ticket with no expiration option ! Thanks to previous poster for mentioning that. Our youngest has crossed into the age for adult pricing and still had days remaining on her non-expiring MYW ticket. I thought we had to exchange it on our next trip and pay price difference.

I have done this with my children as they grew, never a question asked.
