Please help me out with this.
I am trying to renew my APs today before the rate increase tomorrow.

When I go to the site I only see where to buy new APs. I can't find anything about renewing APs on-line.

I see people have done it so I am just missing it but I can't for the life of me find anything that shows me where to purchase a renewal ticket.

Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

Log into the DVC member website. From the home page, look on the far right side. Under member resources is a box that advertises becoming an Annual passholder. Right under that is the link that says "Already a passholder? Click here to renew".

However... once I get to the passholder site and click on "Online Pass Renewal" I don't see anyplace to renew. Hopefully you won't have that issue (and luckily, I'm not renewing at this time).

Have you gotten it? I just checked and the link is working, just as croby described. You need to check in with your present AP before you actually buy the new one(s).

Bobbi :)

Nothing about passholders/buying a pass, renewing a pass for me.

Points, resorts, profile undate, and points calculator is all it says.

I am so frustrated with it.

Do you think it is not offering me a renewal because I am a new DVC member and have my AP as a regular AP?
The regular site will not let me renew either (as a DVC member that is).

I tried calling and can't get a person. Of course, I am calling regular Disney # and not MS because they are closed.

:guilty:

I did it a couple of hours ago. It's on the right hand side of the page - look for the icons and one will talk about passholder.

I called. It will not allow me to do it because my AP isn't already with DVC discount.

I can't renew and get the rate before changes are made tomorrow. I am so very pissed.
She said she could renew for me but not with DVC discount. Of course, I'd lose the discount of $100.00.

As a new DVC member this week, this SUCKS royally.

Buckalew11,
Depending on when your current APs expire, you may actually be better off just buying a new AP at the DVC rate. Our current ones expire at the end of March, 2007 and we aren't sure when our next DVC trip after that will be, so I just got new AP vouchers. The price difference is not that great and if we don't go to WDW until October, 2007 our expiration on the new AP will be 7 months later than if we had just renewed. So think about your travel plans and you may not be losing out after all.

I just got new passes(my old ones were up in March of 06)...but we have trips Dec 06 and March 07 planned..and now my DH says he wants to try Thanksgiving(poss 07)...so like Jekjones says ...it might just work in your favor.

Getting the ap voucher(or even the will call) means that the pass is not active until you get to WDW and they make it into a regular AP.

My current AP expires on Oct 10th. I plan on going down Oct.9th! I could use a renewal with those plans. My next plans will be for January 07.
I see what you all are saying though.

Thanks for all the help.

Oh My!! Thank you all for all the suggestions and advice.

I am thinking that maybe I can't renew a regular AP through DVC for the DVC discount (??) Maybe you can only renew a DVC AP to get the DVC discount. So, what I did was buy a new DVC AP (like someone suggested above) because if I waited til Oct. and could NOT renew as a DVC renewal, it would be 419.61.

So, by buying a regular DVC AP now at the *old* price, I bought the new pass for 335.48 + 3.00 shipping. That is a big enough savings and I will then be able renew next year (hopefully) as a DVC member at a DVC member renewal rate!

So, thanks for that suggestion DVCers! I really, really appreciate you taking the time to help me out with this.

If you log into the DVC member site, you can purchase the AP or PAP which includes the discount. If you have never gone into the website, you are outa luck for today.
