I noticed that we do not need to get photos certified or countersigned if the person looks the same.

What did other do when they need to renew their children's passport? Could you get away without the certifications. DD has changed her fringe and does not look at cute!!!

We renewed DD 17 & DS 9 about 6 weeks ago and didn't get them certified they came back with no problems. We fast tracked them with the post office for an extra £7 on Monday and got them back on Saturday. Was very impressed :flower:

My DD first passport was when she was one so we had to renew last year.

I sent it off in plenty of time, just in case they wanted the photos recertified but it came back fine, without getting the photos re-signed.

as you can imagine she looked very different so I was surprised, but pleased!

That is a great help. seems fairly easy £25 plus £7 for the checking and just make sure I fill the form in properly. Thank you.

I sent mine regular mail on Wednesday and got it back on the Tuesday of the following week, maybe the fast track is a bit of a money spinner as mine was back within 4 working days anyway??

I recently got new passports for my DDs and completed the on-line form. It was easier than writing in all the little boxes and was sent to me the next for signing etc.
