I am a preferred annual pass holder and have always stayed on site, but in July we will be staying off site and have never used our annual pass for the free parking, I have to renew my pass 2 weeks before we go and I am considering upgrading to the premium pass with the free valet option, I see it says free after first visit on the annual pass website, I assume that means after first visit to the park to activate annual pass, if that is the case would my renewed and possibly upgraded pass be considered not active or since it was renewed it's considered active? I would hate to roll up to valet and have to pay, thinking it is free. thanks for any help

I am pretty sure all passes are not activated until first use at the gate...for fingerprinting. If you are staying offsite and have time, you can have someone drive you to the drop off point and you can 'run in' and activate your pass and be picked up afterward. Then, when you next visit, you need not worry about paying the next time you really go to the parks.

That's a tough question since renewed is just a continuation and is effective the day after the old one expires. I think you might need to call on this one.

The pass that you have won't be the correct one (different looking card) so parking might give you a hard time on that.
