I have received the GAC/DAS for several years, first on paper and our last trip it was done electronically. It was always easy to renew it when I had the paper pass, but now that it is on the MB, is it still easy? Will I be in the system somehow and not have to go through explaining my needs again to get a new one issued? Thanks!

It depends n the cm I am here now and all I had to say is I need a new DAS pass

You should still be in the system. Instead of scanning the QR code on the paper DAS, the CM in Guest Relations will scan your Magicband.
You may have to answer a few question like - "has anything changed? Are your needs still the same?, etc."
Unless they can't find you, that will probably be the extent of the questions.

Good. Thanks! I do see on the app where it indicates that I don't have any "disability access return times" under "my reservations". Does that show for everyone or only those that have previously used the new system?

We never had any problems with getting GAC or DAS at WDW (last time it was in Dec '13 - electronic but not in MB). But this summer we visited DL and it took a lot of explaining to get them to issue a DAS. Very surprised. I imagine the systems are not connected?

Visiting back this coming Dec. so we should be in the system I guess?

WDW and DL systems had not been connected before. Not sure if they are now or will be in the future.
If you are going back to DL in December, they should be able to look you up. You may have to answer a few questions, but should not need to go thru a lot of explanation.

When I renewed in July-I took my card with photo from last summer & no questions were asked at all.

When I returned earlier this month-i simply stated I wished to reapply & it was very quick indeed.
& again no questions at all from anyone.

We've had a similar experience. We got the MB DAS in May and when we visited again in August, we simply asked that it be reactivated and it was done without issue.

When we go in November DD will take her DAS from March and we'll go to Guest Services to get it renewed. I assume they'll put it on her MB there and then?

Yes, they will.
You will need the Magicbands of everyone in your group so that they can be linked to the DAS user. If you have more than 6 in your party, they will all need to CMs with you and get their Magicbands scanned for linking.

Once linked, anyone in your group can go to an attraction to get a DAS Return Tme. There is more information in the WDW or DL Disability Access System thread near the top of this board.

Thanks for the info. Can you still only get it by going to GS at a park? It's just that we have a very early breakfast on our first morning, followed by an attempt to jump onto SDMT before the queue. It may be pushing 10am before we can get to GS to renew.

If we get our waitlist request and have a studio at GF or BLT then we can just pop over after checking in the day we arrive, but it won't be at all convenient to do that from OKW.

Yes.
Only at Guest Relations at a park. 'Officially' it's only at Guest Relations inside of the parks, according to Disney's written information. People have sometimes had success getting it at the outside of the park GR, but that is not guaranteed.

I just got back and Monday at MK around 9:30 they had me go next door to get my DAS pass they said they do this when they are busey so if it is early and there is a long line at GS look next door where package pick up is if you see GR CM the one in plaid then try there first

FYI - we were able to get a DAS last Sunday at the guest relations window outside the world showcase entrance at Epcot. We stopped there to activate tickets and I asked the CM where I needed to go and he said he could take care of it right there. A nice surprise as we were expecting a different answer. He did say he was a guest relations trainer -- he did give us great service.
