my annual pass expire January and I wanted to find what the renewal price was for the DVC gold and when I sign on under my tickets the renewal options keeps defaulting to the higher premium and premium plus and does not give an option to renew. Do we not get a discount to renew the gold passes?

Gold renewal APs are $466 plus tax of 6.5% for a total of $496.29, we just did a renewal on our AP last week. You have to call MS to get them, the web site does not offer them, not sure what. If you do it by Jan 3rd you will get 13 months on the renewal APs

On-line pass renewals for DVC has never worked very well. A few members have been able to, but many don't see the correct pass options.

I can see renewal for gold from my current gold pass but my son had the platinum and we renewed to gold. That could not be done online, so I had to call in. No problem though

Does anyone have a link to the Gold AP blackout dates for 2017?? TIA

i think I had seen some conversation about Disney blacking out annual passes when a new attraction opens. With Pandora opening will this be the first we see of this? If so what passes will be impacted and for how long, also how will they do this? Blackout the dates for all parks or just Animal Kingdom, or just blackout fast pass for the attractions by the ticket type your have linked?

Disney had sent out a survey with questions about blackout dates when new attractions open. There is no confirmation that they will implement the idea.

If my current gold pass doesn't expire until sept, can I renew it before 1/3 and get the 13 months?
Hmm... I'm not a ticket expert so take my answer lightly...
I would say not if you wanted to get the renewal rate. If you are willing to pay the new ticket rate, yes....

The renewal window opens 60 days prior to the expiration date of your current pass and remains open until 30 days after expiration. Outside of that window, you would have to purchase a new pass as Maistre Gracey noted.

Thank makes sense. Thanks for your help!

I'm also wondering, if you know, is there a time frame in which you have to activate the 13 month pass?

Planning to purchase a gold pass and not activate until August of 2017. It will then be good until September of 2018. They haven't announced blackout dates beyond January 2018. Any thoughts on the blackout dates for 2018? Hoping and assuming that they will be the two weeks around Easter and two weeks around Christmas again.

Those have been the blackout times for FL resident passes for many years. Sometimes there's a little variability in the cutoff dates before Xmas between military special tickets, FL resident special tickets and the Gold/Silver passes. I think I saw the last day to use anywhere from 15-19 Dec between these options (Gold and Silver were different dates).
