Has anyone stayed here? Is there a web site for this hotel? I got it for $35.00 on priceline and wondered how it was & is it close to the Boardwalk?
Thanks! Cheryl

I stayed here a couple years ago via Priceline and it is a nice place. The room is normal sized and decorated nicely with pleanty of drawer space. The bathroom is small but clean. The halways and lobby are very nice and the pool is clean and fine though nothing special. It has a nice location with WDW property easily accesed through a back road calle Sherbeth Road. Even when I drove my car the "front" way it only took about 10 minutes to get to the parkinglot at Epcot.

My DD and I stayed at the hotel the 5-8 of June. Quite nice--I got it at $35 on a priceline bid too! I was very satisfied. The rooms were nice--we did have to be moved though as the A/C stopped working or wasn't very efficient in the first room, but they were very helpful and accomodating--the bellman came and helped us move our stuff and apologized for the inconvenience.

The pools were standard, but clean and well maintained with plenty of pool towels. Lots of restaurant options, a small deli type deal in addition to the reg one and a bar. There is also a small refridg in the room.

A family we met at the pool was very satisfied with the shuttle to the park. I drove but didn't know about any back way! Should have explored more, but with a tired 5 year old in the backseat what can you do? It still never took long to get to any of the parks.

Here is the website I found:

Have fun!

Thanks!!! Sounds good for $35.00! We are only staying one night on our way to Universal & wanted to do the Boardwalk, so this should be fine! I'll have to try & find the back way!
Thanks again!
Cheryl

I also got the Renaissance for $35 a night thru Priceline. This will be our first time staying at that hotel and it's nice to see all the reviews about it. Following is one of the many informative directions on how to use the back way. It was kindly given to me by one of the many DISers on this board but unfortunately, I can't remember which one (Senior Moment?) Hope it helps.

There is a sneaky back way into WDW that means you never have to see Hwy 192 again until you leave . Take a right out of the parking lot toward onto Maingate Road toward the Disney Company D building. At the stop sign, take a left and go along the Company D building with the parking lot to your right. You are actually still on Maingate Road. Once past the Company D building take a right at the stop sign. This is Sherberth Road and it takes you right onto WDW property. You will end up at a stop light at the intersection of Sherberth and Osceloa Parkway. Animal Kingdom Lodge will be down the road to your left. Take a right and follow the signs to the parks. To return to hotel follow the signs to Animal Kingdom Lodge and take a left onto Sherberth road. You're really only 10 minutes to any of the Disney parks, including the Magic Kingdom's parking lot.

Thanks for the directions to the back way!!

We stayed there last year for two nights. You got a better deal than we did. I think we paid $48 on PL. We enjoyed our stay there. It was super close to AK. Be sure to use the back way directions. Its much faster. Have a fun trip!
