Renaissance Orlando Resort @ Sea World .. New Years Eve...where to go?

Hi to all
My family, Me, DH, DD12 with her friend who is 12, DD10 & DD7 .. are arriving in Orlando around 5pm ish on New Years Eve. We are going to be staying at the Renaissance for 3 nites and would like to know what there is to do around there especially for NYE. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We don't pick up our rental van until the next day due to the HUGE price difference we would have picking it up on the 31st. Thank you so very much as I know Disney somewhat, but not this area.

Try posting on the Sea World board. I'll quarantee that Sea World will have something spectacular going on for NYE, and it's easily accessible from your hotel.

you can easily walk to Seaworld from this hotel and I would.

Thank you, I will have to look into that option. I wonder if SW has a big celebration that evening? The resort said as of now they do not have anything special planned. We will be on the plane most of the day and when we get there, I know we'll want to go do something active ... besides coming from Oregon, we gain 3 hours
