did you know that you can rent points from any DVC member even if AKV isn't their home resort - you just have wait a bit longer for the booking part.. (When we rent pts we love to stay at OKW!!)

Yes, yes I did! Just haven't found anyone with AKV points for rent yet and points at other home resorts can only be booked for AKV 7 months out of course. I just have to be patient

Oh i get it - and you just want to book NOW LOL... for your back up plan you can always just stay at AKL again if you had to right??

Well, ideally - yes. But financially, no. I priced out what we would need and its CRAZY expensive compared to renting points Like - nearly triple the cost!!!

Oh i hear you - when i do the cost compare of renting DVC at OKW for a studio Sun - Thurs to the Pop even it normally comes out about the same .. Whatever you decide will be great though because You'll be at Disney making memories!!! Good Luck..

I am here from the October 2011 thread too. in fact, i realized i need to get started on my own PTR too!

What a great family you have, looks to be an awesome trip and having mom to help is always great! Good luck on securing AKL on rented points, hopefully something comes through for you! renting is a great option! Before we bought DVC, we stayed at POR a lot and it was nice for a moderate.

Your little puppy is so darn cute! Congrats! The kids are gorgeous too! You know my DH finally 'got' the disney magic after seeing our son on his first trip- that is what convinced him to buy DVC. I had never even considered it before, since I knew DH wasn't a disney fan. But seeing our son's eyes light up as he caught 'snow' in the Osborne lights, well I think that was enough to melt his heart and want to come back for years to come! hopefully same will happen for you!

Welcome aboard!!! I'm definitely hoping DH will see the magic in Ava and Levi's eyes and that will make him fall in true love with WDW just like I am!!
