Remembering extinct foods

We have coco wheats in our grocery store. Just saw a few weeks ago.

Does anyone else remember Coco Wheats? It was like chocolate cream of wheat. I would POUR the sugar on that stuff. Yummy!

I never did the ****erry etc. cereals; my Cap'n Crunch is still around.

I also loved those Hostess fried pies - chocolate, of course.

Oh my lord, that just sounds vile. I'm sorry, it obviously a good memory from your childhood, but ugh.:rotfl:

LOL I just remember them being soooo good! They were like the chicken pot pies, but with tuna.

Add me to the list of people who miss Pudding Pops! They do exist again (now made by the Popcicle people), but they're not quite the same. Pretty decent, though.

Also, Fudgetown cookies - although that might be a Northeast or East coast thing.

There was also a Mickey Mouse cereal a few years ago - kind of on the idea of Lucky Charms - and it turned the milk blue!

Does Jiffy Pop still exist? I used to love watching my mom standing over the stove, shaking that big foil dome around as it popped.

Does anyone remember Zarex? It was a syrup that you added to water, kind of Kool-Aid-esque. I remember that the label on the bottle was purple and had a zebra on it. I loved that stuff!

Marthon bars were drizzle carmel covered with chocolate and was a good 10 inches long.

Those were awesome candy bars!

Also, Fudgetown cookies - although that might be a Northeast or East coast thing.

:thumbsup2 Those were some tasty cookies!

They make a microwave version of Jiffy Pop now too. It's pretty good.

I was thinking today about how when I was a kid, I always wanted orange drink if we got fast food. I didn't like cola or other soda much, so I'd get "orange drink" at McD's and White Castle with my food. I remember being very adamant about it too.

Has anyone mentioned Funny Face drink mix yet? That was cool stuff.

Oh the MC Rib I forgot about that.. It was so wrong but I loved them

Anybody remember Butoni Pizza Flying Saucer thingies.

You would pop them in yout toaster. I loved them

McLean, anyone? They styrofoam kept the cold side cold and the hot side hot!:rotfl2:
