Remembering extinct foods

Oh my, I remember having these every so often!

What about the cookies that were chocolate crumbs on the bottom, then marshmallow with chocolate sprinkles on top? I can't remember the name of them

Mmmm those were good. I can't remember the name, either.

I'm going to Northern California over Spring Break. I will be bringing an empty carry on bag that will be filled with a certain Hostess delicacy on my flight home. Hopefully several pounds of Chocodiles won't raise a red flag and get me placed on a watch list.

He's got chocodiles...GET EM'

Does anyone remember Vienetta ice cream desserts? Those were so good!

I used to like Dreamsicle ice cream bars too.

That was my mother's specialty - Hungry Man TV Dinners. Actually, it was the only thing she knew how to cook. I guess dangerously high levels of sodium were not frowned upon back then. Or maybe, she just didn't love me.

Not too mention the cholesterol! For some reason I always loved the brownies with the pieces of corn that always ended up baked in it. :confused3

Cute thread!

Anyone remember Funny Face Drink Mix? It was a Kool-Aid rip off in flavors like Choo Choo Cherry, Injun Orange, Goofy Grape & "With it" Watermelon. With enough proof of purchases, you could even order mugs that resembled the faces of the characters on the packets!

Still have one!

Keebler Rich n Chip cookies. They disappeared from the market while I was on a diet. I've always wondered if I was the only one keeping them in the product line.

Not me. This is the only situation in life where I believe segregation should be enforced. My mother knew better than to serve me a tv dinner that had one variety of food touching another. She was forced to pick out any foods that had jumped the foil divider before serving it to me, or else I wouldn't eat any of it.

Just got back from Vegas - I go every year. This year I planned ahead and brought an empty shoe box with me - filled it up with Chocodiles while I was there and plan on having one every day for breakfast for the next week or so :goodvibes

Does anyone remember Charleston Chews? My sister and I would freeze them. We would practically break our teeth trying to eat it.

Yes, I am still able to get them where I live. We have a restaurant called Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlor Restaurant. They have an old time candy store built into their lobby. They sell Charleston Chews(Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry), Razzles(the candy that turns into gum), bottle caps; wax lips, caramel creams...:cloud9:

All of these plus...

Does anyone remember the Blow Pop Pieces? They were little rectangle pillow shaped things?

I just saw these at Target , I felt the bag and they felt round . I also saw the Tootsie Pop pieces .

Anyone remember AbaZabba bars ? they were like a vanilla taffy with a real PB inside ?

I miss Rice Krispie Treats cereal.

Does anyone remember the peanuts (like a full peanut) but with peanut butter inside? I loved those when I was young.

I used to get something i think was called a wafflewich??? It was ice cream sandwiched in between two waffles....YUM! Kind of like the cookie ice cream sandwich. Those were sooooo good and i have not seen them since i was a teen. over 20 years ago! I also adored Jello pudding pops, especially the ice coating on the pop. Yum!!!!
