Remember this old ride at Epcot

The other day DH and I were talking and I asked him if he remembered a ride at Epcot that you sat in a car and it took you threw I think the evolution of earth and it definitely had dinosaurs. He doesn't remember it from our 1991 trip and I know we didn't do it on our 2010 trip.

So my mom was saying the other day how her favorite ride had the Dinosaurs. This visit was in 1984. I laughed and told her the above story.

So I thought I'd come to the experts. Does this ride sound familiar to anyone? Would this be Ellens Energy adventure and it has been renamed since the 80's? TIA

It sounds like Ellen's Energy Adventure to me. We rode it for the first time this fall and I fell asleep shortly after passing the dinosaurs and woke up when we were back in the main room so I can't be positive, but it is a nice place for an unplanned nap apparently!

LOL I've read other posters TR's also saying they fell asleep on it. Guess it was more exciting when the technology was newer in the 80's. THX

Well Ellen wasn't on the ride in the 80's, but it still sounds like Universe of Energy to me. And now, because I've been listening to Disney music new and old almost non-stop at work, I will have the song stuck in my head till I go to sleep, lol.

Yep. Loved it when I was little. It's not so much the ride part I fell asleep on though it's the 20 minute movie at the end. Lol. I don't know if they've shortened it any but that movie was excruciating.

It still has the smell in the dinosaur area. That part is the same except for Bill Nye and Ellen were added to it. The rest of the attraction is different.
