I remember when going on my 05 trip, I signed up for Hotwire Savings Club. At the time, they had the cheapest park tickets and also offered Meal Vouchers. For $11.99, you got a coupon for a free entree, beverage, dessert, and I think also an appetizer. You just signed the slip and left in place of payment. I do believe the tip was also included.

I think they did away with this and started the DDP instead, but one of my relatives goes to Disney every year with a sports team and eh said they still give them these vouchers. Does anyone know if they are still available someplace?

I remember being able to buy a counter service voucher at Animal Kingdom for a snack, CS meal and beverage. It was a little cheaper than the menu prices at the old Tusker House counter service.

the meal vouchers are only available with the group packages - usually the youth activity packages (like the sports teams staying at Disney for a tournament at All Star Sports)

Yeah I don't think it's available to small groups/individuals/families anymore. :(

Our very first trip to WDW was in 84'. We booked our trip through a local TA, stayed off property at the Radison Maingate. Back then the only parks were MK and Epcot, DHS was in the process of being built then. When we checked in at the Radison, we received our "Disney parks package" with our tickets, maps, etc and vouchers that could be exchanged for any CS meal or some other activity at Disney I can't remember now. We chose to use them at Columbia Harbor House, and ate upstairs. To this day, our boys still talk about eating there. Both of them have now taken their oun families to Disney several times each, ate at Columbia Harbor House and related their experience of eating there to their children. My how time has flown......

Yes, they're only available to youth groups now. Breakfast vouchers are around $9 & lunch/dinner are about $12.

I actually have 5 of them that expire 30Sep09 and we will be using them during our August trip. They are left over from my niece taking her HS chorus group in December (they sang at the CP). These were hers that she paid for and she didn't use them so she passed them on to us.

We used the vouchers on our January/February 2004 trip. By the time our December 2005 trip came along, we had become dining plan converts (and the vouchers may not have been publicly available then but I didn't even try to find them).

They were great. We used them a lot back when DS had just started college. We used 2 for 4 of us. Those were our introduction to eating at Beaches and Cream and the Pepper Market.
