So a bunch of running groups across the US are all going to wear race shirts and run 4.09 miles in memory of the race and time. WISH Facebook is and anyone here can join as well.

Hear at Disney now. I ran 4.09 this morning and just happened to bring my RnR shirt for bumming around the hotel. Since it's still clean, I'll wear it with pride in the parks today.

Ran just over 4.09 tonight. I also saw these posted up in the park I run in. The park was full of runners, moreso than usual, and I can only think they were showing respects. I live in Malaysia, so you can see the global reach of this. Several of my running groups on FB here have also posted about it.

Wearing my race shirt today. Couldn't wear a marathon shirt since all of mine are long-sleeved and it is in the 80's today but picked a nice bright pink one:). Thought of the marathoners and victims during my morning run today.
We have several local memorial runs popping up for this weekend already.

Just finished my 4.09 today. Wearing my marathon shirt today.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the tragedy yesterday.

I ran yesterday knowing I wouldn't have time today. My run yesterday was fittingly one of the more physically painful ones I've had recently.

Guess this was on the runners world site somewhere..

"It's the only sport in the world where if a competitor falls, the others around will pick him or her up. It's the only sport in the world open to absolutely everyone, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity or any other division you can think of. It's the only occasion when thousands of people assemble, often in a major city, for a reason that is totally peaceful, healthy and well-meaning. It's the only sport in the world where no one ever boos anybody."

Congrats, that is awesome!!!! :cool1::thumbsup2 Good for you!

I like my race shirts a little bigger and my work clothes are a little more fit so I was not able to wear my shirt, but I did do a 3.17 mile run during my lunch. Wanted to do more, but unable to due to time constraint. But I thought of Boston the whole time!

Today I wore my 2011 Boston Marathon shirt and my BM tights to spin class and yoga. Dedicated both to the victims and people of Boston-my home city.

wore my Disney Tinkerbell half marathon shirt and medal to work today - will run tonight
Prayers for the Bostonians-criminals can't stop us.

I was running Boston yesterday. My family was waiting for me at the finish. Everyone is okay- I cant stop crying. I bought a finishers jacket before the race and hung it in a place where I could see it when I ran on my tread mill. This race meant so much to me. I cried tears of joy days before the race and the morning of. I was so thankful to be doing this given my cancer diagnosis. I am crying tears of sorrow and I don't even want to look at my jacket.
