Relocating to the MAGIC (not the ship)

Where exactly off 535 are you going to be living? We have a townhome off of Reams Road very close to the CM parking area for MK. Our daughter, who is a fulltime CM, lives there--but we visit--a LOT!! We plan to retire there in the next few years. I've gotten so blase about watching WISHES from the backyard--shame on me!! :-) I can get around pretty well but that list of road names by Kevin is VERY helpful! On my last visit (home in NJ now) I saw that terrific display in WinnDixie!! Almost ran into a counter of produce trying to reach my camera phone for a picture (that was the tourist part of me surfacing!--LOL!) Glad it's still there. LOVE Winter Garden Village!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are at Alexandria/Parc Vue. It's closer to Hotel Blvd than Reams is. But that's really close to us! We're now learning how to get around without getting on I-4. We figured out that Palm Parkway turns into Turkey Lake Rd and takes us straight to Universal! That's almost door-to-door for us.

That display is too cool!!! Is that at the WD on 535?
Yes, that's the closest Winn Dixie to us.

And Brandie, don't be jealous- it just means all that FE stuff for PCC2.0 has somewhere to be shipped to now!:thumbsup2

Ooooooh...never thought of that! Woot!!!

And it also means we have some friends to have dinner with at Celebration Town Tavern whenever we come to Disney!!!! (Glad you guys were able to join us last week :thumbsup2)

I know exactly where Alexandria/ParcView is. Our daughter's boyfriend used to live there. It's VERY close to our area. We are neighbors!! :-) :-) Took me a while to figure our that Palm Parkway/Turkey Leg name change thing. Takes you straight into Sand Lake Road. Lots of interesting things on Sand Lake--including Whole Foods. I'm always fascinated by how almost every housing complex is surrounded by a gated area. They all look so pretty--and so exclusive. Now here's a question--I can't understand why many of the homes don't have gutters and downspouts. wouldn't you think with all the rain in Orlando people would have those? Or maybe they are only in the NorthEast???

I think you will be VERY happy living in that area. I know we've been more than pleased with our location. Close to Disney and yet you can avoid much of the touristy stuff when you want to. Have you checked out the beautiful Publix on the way to Winter Garden Village?

Enjoy your new home.

Thank you for this thread. I love the info on here. I can't wait to be able to move back to FL...hopefully soon.
