Relief Ahead for Phone Wait Times

I talked to Disney today and we got through in about 2 minutes at 12:30pm CST. The agent we talked too was so nice and told us that they have hired quite a few more people. She said wait times had been getting better and should continue to improve. I hope this is a good sign for all of us.

(I said Us as I was on hold with Costco for about 1.5hrs before I got a person and the Costco agent brought me onto the line with Disney as we were using a placeholder)

That’s nice to hear. I waited 4 hours on Friday morning to talk to someone. I was quoted two hours and it was twice that.

I called this morning right at 9:00 am EST when they opened and only waited about 5 minutes (I was quoted 7 mins).

I also called last week right at opening and also got right through.

Glad to hear they hired more people!!!

I called yesterday and was connected to an agent in about 3 minutes. He asked how the wait was and I told him how surprised I was to get through so fast. He said, "Well you can get use to this now."
Good news indeed.

I think they were/are well aware that the solution is to hire more people but like every other industry that has historically relied on underpaid employees actually hiring people is currently difficult if you aren’t willing to pay more.

I called this morning right at opening time (8 am EST) and got through all the preliminary stuff by 8:06 when I got an estimated wait time of 20 minutes, which turned out to be 31 minutes. I was done scheduling my placeholder by 8:52 am. This was on opening day for Silver Castaway Club for the 2023 fall itineraries.

I called this morning at opening time (dialed in about 7:59:58 or something) and after the 2 minute menu I got someone on the phone immediately.
When he had to put me on hold to check with a different department, he let me know that the wait time was about 6 minutes. It was not. He came back to me telling me their back office was overloaded and not a lot of people working.

In the end... he couldn't help me and neither could the back office, I have to talk to Inspire Diagnostics.
But hey! Short time to get someone on the phone!
