Hi all, we were at disney last year and are looking to go again in September.

The last time we went we drove the 700 miles and after the 5 days there we were exhausted.

We would like to stay somewhere for a few days relaxation this time before making the journey home.

Would you recommend staying on at the disney hotel or are there better places not too far away to relax for a few days, maybe with a beach for the kids ?

Thanks

WE moved from Santa Fe to Explorers for 2 nights one year without park passes to give up time to wind down. We then used those 2 days to go the Village, Val d'Europe etc.

Where are you sailing from/ to? If Calais the area round there is actually quite nice - we have stayed on a campsite nearby a few yrs ago (Guines) which was very nice.

Next week we are going to Berny Riviere campsite about an hr away from Disney for a week before doing Dis.

In July we are going across to Brittany afterwards but for a week - again in a mobile home. We always go with Eurocamp.

lol :yay:

thats why we need a relax AFTER the madness of Disney :)

Yes, so staying at a Disney hotel probably wouldn't be a good idea. Hopefully you'll find the ideal place. It would be an impossible task for me to stay at a disney hotel and not be going to the parks.

10 more days til I'm there

Rachie B, thanks very much for these, the campsite looks great, are the Gîtes nice, we don't fancy camping with a 2yr old and a 3yr old !

we have only stayed in the mobile homes, not the Gites

so you dont have to camp :)

although the tents are not really like tents lol, they have proper beds etc,we would attempt a stay in one ( our boys think they are fab !) but the only thing putting me off is no toilet!

WE have stayed in Eurocamp tents when our sons were younger and they loved it - proper beds/fridge/electric lights etc.

We now stay in mobile homes again usually through Eurocamp and DD loves it. very family friendly and a great way to relax. We stay at the same site that Rachie B mentioned

Wow, they look fun! :goodvibes Almost enough to persuade me to take up camping!! ;)

Tell me about it! Went to DLP a few years back and took a weeklong rest in Norway the week afterwards just to relax.

I didn't see the mobile home option on the website, will take another look, thanks

Wow they look brill. We are at Berny Riviere next week but with Eurocamp and then at Dol de Bretagne in July with Keycamp. We've booked a mobile home but I want to stay in one of these for a night. I must at least have a look at these while we're there

oooh would you take a pic of them for us ,and let us know what they are like :)
