Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

2 weeks!!!! :yay::woohoo::dance3::woohoo::woohoo::yay:

Well that just makes it feel real, doesn't it?? Yippee! Now you know it's going to fly by.

Fingers crossed you get the Mansions. :goodvibes

How fun to have a DIS meet right off the bat.

I don't really have any tradition in terms of first ride but I'd say Pirates screams "you're in the MK" the most to me so that would probably be my choice.

So excited for you!!

Two weeks!! :woohoo:

BTW, I extended our vacation and we are not leaving until the 10th now. We can still plan for a meet if you'd like! :goodvibes

Well, we typically do EMH at MK and head right to Fantasyland. In Jan 09 we did Dumbo first and June 09 I believe it was Peter Pan. There is nothing like walking right onto Peter Pan!!!!

I feel like I shouldn't even answer these questions anymore because I'm so d*** predictable. :lmao:

Pirates, of course. First, middle, last, always. :goodvibes

You can get your AP at any of the park guest service windows. Not sure about in your hotel, but definitely at the parks. And there's no real reason to get it in advance because regardless, you're going to end up at one of those windows to get the actual pass.

The boys are very adamant that we do Dumbo first. After that, it's a toss up. Before our Dumbo Dash days, we did Jungle Cruise and Pirates first.

Two weeks!!! Holy schlamboozle that went fast... for me anyway! We always head straight to Fantasyland and then let the kids choose. Last year, it was Mickey's Philharmagic. This year.... :confused3

We don't have a traditional first ride. Now that the kids are all older I'm going with BTMR.

Please God let LL get a mansion room!
:goodvibes :goodvibes

We usually hit Splash Mountain but since we are doing a touring plan I think it calls for Fantasyland. We have done that first in the past too.

SOOOO close and so exciting!:cool1:

I'm so jealous you get a DIS meet with Brook!! That will be fabulous! Love that you are meeting and riding HM together!!

My 1st ride ALWAYS is IASW! It's the tradition my Mom started with us as kids and now I do it with my kids! A bit stressed that it's not open for my upcoming trip!:scared1: So thinking this time we'll do PP or Dumbo?:confused3A little thrown off....

ps- we've requested Alligator bayou, but our situation is different...I don't blame you not wanting that section! LOL!! Hope you get the mansions, too!!

:woohoo: for 2 weeks!!

I love to do TTA for my first ride! It's one of my favorites and gives you a nice view of the castle, a great way to say welcome!!

:cool1::banana::woohoo: Yipppeee for 2 weeks!!!! I'm so excited for you!!!

:yay: Yipeee for a HM first ride meet with Brook! I must say I'm jealous! You guys are going to have a blast!

The kiddos alternate picking the first ride! I think in December we'll let Ryan pick for the first time! I wonder what he'd pick?! I have no clue what our first ride will be in Oct!

Oh, I love that you will be riding the Haunted Mansion with Brook for her first time EVER!!! :goodvibes

I also really like that you have no concrete plans for the evening -- what a delicious sense of freedom to enjoy whatever you want!!!

I'm with MeMom -- I will be sitting at my desk in the morning two weeks from today, but I will be super excited for you that you are headed to Disney!!!

Oh how wonderful that you are meeting Brook and taking her on her first Doom Buggy ride!!
I guess it depends on who I am with but I think we usually head towards Space Mountain for a ride and a fp. I think

Tracy

I just posted about this day too! :yay: I'm really excited for my first ride to be with you!!!!

I asked over on my PTR too, but we don't have a set time for this meet, right? Just kinda whenever? We have our breakfast ADR at 9:40 and we'll mosey on over after that, so I'm guessing we should be there sometime around Noon-ish.

I am loving your first day. We always find if our first day is super relaxing with little to no plans it sets a nice tone for the trip. No rushing, just doing whatever you are feeling.

I really hope you get a Mansion room - or if for some reason you don't, they honor your request right at the desk and move you on the spot! :thumbsup2 I'm looking forward to all your pictures of the resort, it looks so, so beautiful!

I'm way behind, but getting caught up... your plans sounds great! :thumbsup2 And what a fun DIS meet you have planned!! :cool1:

Sorry you're not staying at the Poly, but I think you'll find the AP was well worth it! My two trip AP has quickly turned into a four trip AP! ;)

Did I miss the 2 week party? Well, happy 1 week and 6 days today!

Here's hoping that you get a room in one of the mansions. It would be too embarasing to cry over a hotel room. :sad2: I think you'll be ok though. I think I've heard that usually the Bayou rooms go to larger families since they have trundle beds that the Mansions to not. In all the times we've stayed at Riverside we've never gotten the Bayou.

The question of the day is hard to answer since our first attraction of the day tends to change from year to year. Usually it's an attraction that's on our must-ride list that will likely have a longer line later in the day.

I like riding BTMRR first. :woohoo: And last.
Good choice!

Woohoo for two weeks!!!!!

You can buy your AP at the guest relations window outside of Magic Kingdom. That is what I would do anyways because when you order it online or call and order it all they do is send you a voucher card in the mail to trade in when you actually get there for your actual AP so you won't be saving a step by ordering it early.
Thanks for the info. Do you know if you can buy the TIW card at the guest relations window too?

2 weeks!!!! :yay::woohoo::dance3::woohoo::woohoo::yay:

I hope it flies by. I'm nervous since I'll be off for almost a week before the trip, I'm afraid it will make the time drag by.

Two weeks!! :woohoo:

BTW, I extended our vacation and we are not leaving until the 10th now. We can still plan for a meet if you'd like! :goodvibes
WOO HOO! Let me know if any of our plans overlap and we can plan something. :thumbsup2

Well, we typically do EMH at MK and head right to Fantasyland. In Jan 09 we did Dumbo first and June 09 I believe it was Peter Pan. There is nothing like walking right onto Peter Pan!!!!
I love walking on to Peter Pan, it's one of my very favorite rides.

Yes, I knew your answer! :lmao:

Perfect, that is why I asked. I didn't know if it would save me time or not.

The boys are very adamant that we do Dumbo first. After that, it's a toss up. Before our Dumbo Dash days, we did Jungle Cruise and Pirates first.
I like to ride Dumbo at night, I hope I get too again this trip.

Two weeks!!! Holy schlamboozle that went fast... for me anyway! We always head straight to Fantasyland and then let the kids choose. Last year, it was Mickey's Philharmagic. This year.... :confused3
Not fast enough for me!! :rotfl:

We don't have a traditional first ride. Now that the kids are all older I'm going with BTMR.
That's a good first ride!

Please God let LL get a mansion room!
:goodvibes :goodvibes

We usually hit Splash Mountain but since we are doing a touring plan I think it calls for Fantasyland. We have done that first in the past too.
Please, Please, Please! I usually really don't care where our room is, I think this is the first time I've actually requested a specific section. I really want one of those mansion rooms!

SOOOO close and so exciting!:cool1:

You will find a subsitute first ride for your upcoming trip. :thumbsup2

:woohoo: for 2 weeks!!

I love to do TTA for my first ride! It's one of my favorites and gives you a nice view of the castle, a great way to say welcome!!
That is another great first ride!! Hmmm, I will have to keep that in mind.

I'll text you when we land and such and we get pinpoint a more specific time. :thumbsup2 I'm expecting we'll be there around Noon-ish too.

I would love it if my AP turned into four trips! Right now, I'm hoping for three. :yay:

I'm sure we'll get a mansion room, I just hate that I don't know for sure. That little bit of doubt just nags me.
