My favorite animitronic is the Wicked Witch of the West on the Great Movie Ride. It freaks me out how much that looks exactly like Margaret Hamilton. After all these years the wicked witch still scares the bejeesus out of me. When I was a kid I couldn't watch the part where she has Dorothy locked up with the big hourglass.

That's another one of my favorites, she really does look EXACTLY like Margaret Hamilton. It's fascinating to me everytime I go on Great Movie Ride.

No shocker that my favorite animatronic is Jack Sparrow.

I'm almost positive that pirate looks different...I'll need to do some research!

He's more against that brick wall now, kinda facing the boats as you go by. I think he looks different too. I'm not sure though. I've been searching online, waiting to do this countdown but I have given up. I figured the Pirate Guru would know.

OOOH I love animatronics!!! What a great update, The American Adventure is one of my fave attractions!!! Hmmmm...so many to choose from I think its a tie between the dog in COP LOL and the GOGO boots scientist in Spaceship Earth!!

I love that scene in AA -- it makes me all teary-eyed!

The dog with the keys on POTC.
The man with the hairy leg on POTC.
The two vultures on Splash Mountain that sit on the branch saying, "If this is your Laughin' Place, why aren't you laughing?"

There are more, but those are my top favorites.

Great choices for your fave animatronics! I agree that scene in American Adventure is very moving. Gets me everytime!

Jackie beat me to it and mentioned the pirate with the hairy leg. Definitely my favorite. It was specifically mentioned in the Birnbaum guide (think it is real hair ) and I read that darn guide so many times as a kid I bet I could still recite parts of it.

Sorry about the t-shirt mishap. I have yet to try that. Since I'm so craft challenged I can't help but think it would be bound to end in disaster.

My favorite AA is probably the elephants on the Jungle Cruise. They are cute and hold a special memory of our first ride when I completely fell for the joke that the one was going to spray me...I even shrieked and ducked.

Holy Poly Upgrade Batman!

Can't believe I missed this little tidbit of info!

We requested and stayed in Samoa and LOVED it! It's between both pools, hop skip and a jump to GCH across the cute little bridge will all the ducks sleep at night. It only had 1 sink but that wasn't an issue for us. We requested first floor and got it.

Can't say enough about the location!!! We were steps from both pools, walked barefoot to the Volcano Pool. It's open til Midnight.

The noise level in Samoa was not an issue for us (rumor I'd heard on the DIS was that it was toooo loud). We were right by the elevator, ice machine, and mousekeeping room and we never heard a thing. We sleep with a noise machine from Brookstone all the time anyway and that more than took care of it!

I miss the Poly already. Don't think I haven't priced it a dozen times for Christmas. Cus I have.

Fell head over heels in love with it.

$6 Tonga Toast for breakfast in the mornings.

Favorite Bread - that's tough because I really try NOT to eat the bread. but if my memory serves me right they had some pretty yummy bread at Narcoossee's - I think it was several different types and they were all yum.

Just Kidding - I'd go with the scallops I had at the flying fish - best ever - amazing!

Best Animatronic - Well, I really do like the two brothers and that song (which I love and wish I had written) brings a tear to my eye everytime. I guess the bride in the haunted house isn't really an animatronic or IS she? If so, she would have to be my all time favorite cause she is so creepily cool.

So - as far as watching Wishes from TOTW lounge - how about the 12? would that work for you? I think you are planning on MK that night, right?
I think we are going to Epcot the 13th, MNSSHP the 14th, and late AK hours the 15th.

It took me a few minutes to figure who that big girl was that Jill was walking with! Looks to me like there was a growth spurt and a body type change.

WOO HOO! Carousel of Progress was high on my list too, in fact Marc was shocked that I didn't pick that one.

I think that my favorite animatronic is the hopping Brer Rabbit on Spash Mountain. It's just a really neat effect. I've heard it doesn't always work, but every time I've been on the ride he's hopped just fine. The Witch from the Great Movie Ride is definitely up there too.
