Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

Another Jungle Cruise fan here! Though, I do like the TTA as a close second - new or old, I enjoy them both.

I think I'm going to have to vote for BOTH SE AND HM!! Love them both!!

First one that came to mind was the Walt Disney World Railroad.

LOL!! I loved this update!! YAY for no plans, you are right you and Marc just need to go on vacation and COME WHAT MAY!! You'll have time together at Disney and it doesn't get much better than that!!

Hmmm...I think Beauty and the Beast has to be my favorite Show on your countdown!!

I just had to laugh at Jess' reference to Titanic (I have a flashback story to share now LOL). When I saw that for the 2nd time in theaters (I may have had a Leo DiCaprio crush going on in High School) my friend and I almost got kicked out during that scene...there is Rose holding on to him telling Jack she'll never let go...and next scene...she drops him in the water...the irony was so not lost on us and we might have laughed inappropriately for about 5 minutes...I blame it on being a teenager LOL!!!
I'm very much looking forward to having only our ADRs planned and as we know, I'm always changing my mind when I get down there so we'll see what happens!

The thought of you almost getting kicked out of Titanic makes me laugh. :rotfl:

I LOVE my prize of Disney warm fuzzies being delivered to my computer for the next 45 days!!!! Excellent!

I'm also looking forward to the contests, those are always fun! :hyper:

I'm excited for you, and Marc, to just be in the moment on this trip - not to worry about getting somewhere at a specific time, or forgetting to Tweet something funny, or making sure you ride this and that. Just be. Relax. Enjoy each other and the magic! :thumbsup2

With that said, I hope I get to meet you! BUT, no pressure, I want you to enjoy your trip rather than be concerned of getting to a certain place for a meet. :goodvibes
I'm looking forward to the contests as well, it's a lot of fun to think them up and the prizes of course.

I am planning on our meet, I figure I can just call you when I get down there and see what works!! :thumbsup2

Loved your update. The next 45 days will fly by.

I'll never forget the first time I saw VOTM. There was a little girl around 2 who just started screaming when Ursula showed up. She was inconsolable. The mother had to leave the show. Every time we go to an aquarium I want to watch The Little Mermaid again.

Beaut and the Beast is a big family favorite. The first time Danielle saw it she was enthralled and didn't move. I loved watching the expressions on her face. She was 3.
They are flying by!! I wouldn't be upset if they decided to fly just a teeny bit faster though. :rotfl2:

I love Beauty & the Beast, that and Little Mermaid are the two most beloved Disney movies that came out during my childhood. Of course I'm a Mary Poppins fan as well.

Of your top 6 shows (between the two of you) I have only seen two. Indiana Jones- last time I saw it I was probably in high school :rolleyes1 and Voices of Liberty. I guess I'm just not a big live action show kind of gal. But I have heard raves about the other shows you've mentioned and shall try to put at least one on my list for the next trip!

How sweet are the two of you to plan contests? As if we don't have enough fun following along. But contests are extra fun! :thumbsup2

I think you'll really like the "no plans" touring method. At this point you are expert enough to know you need an ADR for certain restaurants, want to get a FP for Soarin' etc. So why not slow down and just do what you feel like? I always go down with a list of what the Unofficial Guide and TourGuide Mike say are the best/worst parks each day but then play it by ear. I suppose it won't shock anyone if I admit that I am mostly working to accommodate my drinking, dining and suntanning plans.

Your trip is going to be here before you know it!! :)
Marc hasn't seen Indiana Jones since his first trip either but he really loved it. If I had to pick one show for you to see....hmmmm. I think I'd go with Finding Nemo, it's fantastic. It's really worth the wait.

That's what I plan on doing, I have the TourGuide Mike best/worst parks with my ADR confirmation numbers and we just plan on going with the flow!

Favorite ride narration??? I have two: I would have to say I love Haunted Mansion -- it's just so creepy cool -- I even love it when the ride stops, and the Ghost Host says, "Playful spirits have interrupted our journey," but I also love The Jungle Cruise -- I never stop laughing about the backside of water and all the other goofy things the boat captain says.
I do love it when the Doom Buggies stop and they say that. It is just so neat! Jungle Cruise is another good one!

Oh I am with Jackie on the Jungle Cruise!! That is a hoot... but I like Mr. Potato head and all the toys in TSM too... that is fun!!!
TSM is another good one, I didn't even think of that one!

Can I have more than 1?

Okay, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and Tower of Terror.
I haven't ridden ToT so I don't know anything about that one but I'm sure it's wonderful too.

I have to say Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror!
So you like the creepy narrations? ;)

Another Jungle Cruise fan here! Though, I do like the TTA as a close second - new or old, I enjoy them both.
I do love TTA. I miss Mr. Tom Morrow though, didn't they get rid of that part?

I really enjoy SE. :confused3 I think it's the history geek in me. :rotfl:
I love Spaceship Earth too, that was a close second for me.

I think I'm going to have to vote for BOTH SE AND HM!! Love them both!!
I do too! Good choices.

First one that came to mind was the Walt Disney World Railroad.
That is another great one! :thumbsup2

43 days! Time is just flying by now!

I knew I said I was going to wait but I figure I will give everyone a week to get in their guesses for each contest so we are starting now.

Contest #1
This is a two part question, so put on your thinking caps!

Part A: We have made 5 ADRs for our 7 night trip. What are they?

Part B: How many ADR changes will we make when we are actually in Disney, if any?

BONUS: Name 1 ADR that we will add on the fly while at Disney.

You will get one point for each correct answer. If necessary, I will add a tie breaker question after we get back from the trip that is ADR related.

Answers must be in by Tuesday August 3rd by Noon. :thumbsup2

I am going to have to go find my thinking cap before I can respond to either of your last posts. I've never really considered ride narrations before. And the ADR challenge... that is definitely going to require some thought.

Oh, I can say I agree w/ Marc on Boo to You!! pirate:

Just one clarifying question for the "bonus round." The on the fly addition - will that have to be at an ADR required place or are we talking about a walk up or counter service that you do on the spur of the moment?

Whooo I have to play catch up...now let's see my favoriate narrations...I'm thinking...hmmmm...doing some more thinking...this is tough...

OOOH I know Haunted Mansion OF COURSE!!! You and Marc have good taste LOL!!

Favorite Parade...I'm with you girl...I love Spectro!! I found the most amazing spot in May and I loved every moment! I listen to Spectro all the time in the car....that music just brings me straight to my happy place.

OOOOH! A contest sounds fun!!!

I don't consider counter service to be an ADR, but a walk up place like Beaches N' Cream I do count as an on the fly addition.

Basically, everytime I go to Disney I call Disney Dining and end up tweaking my dining plans so I'm thinking there will be changes this trip. An example of this is that Jen and I added a Mama Melrose's ADR once we had arrived.

Does this help clarify things?

I knew you would pick Haunted Mansion! :rotfl2: I adore Spectro, it just makes me happy.

This is a two part question, so put on your thinking caps!

Part A: We have made 5 ADRs for our 7 night trip. What are they?

Kona, Liberty Tree Tavern, Brown Derby, Le Cellier, Yak & Yeti

Part B: How many ADR changes will we make when we are actually in Disney, if any?

2

BONUS: Name 1 ADR that we will add on the fly while at Disney.

Via Napoli- new restaurant in Italy

Answers above... if I didn't make guesses now while I was thinking about it I never would. Your trip is getting close!

Oooh...such a hard question...I love Haunted Mansion, but there's just something about Splash Mountain that Blake and I love!

Favorite Parade..definitely Spectro (although I have never seen any of the holiday ones) I do catch myself humming the song every now and again :goodvibes

ADRs: Kona Cafe, Plaza, Liberty Tree, Brown Derby, and...Crystal Palace?
ADR changes: 3
Add on ADR: Jiko?

I love how I put the question marks in there without even realizing it...you can tell I'm confident in my guesses :rotfl:

You know my favorite parade! :lmao:

Hmmm, you know I am really not good at guessing games.

Here are my picks:

1. Hollywood Brown Derby, Yak and Yeti, Kona, Rose and Crown, and Jiko.

2. None.

3. Hmmm, I think the only last-minute ADR you will try to get is Le Cellier.

I need to go on YouTube more often and ride some Disney rides. :thumbsup2

Your guesses have been noted. I laughed out loud on your comment about the question marks. :rotfl2:

Guesses are noted! :thumbsup2

When I was writing that update, I thought of you and your favorite parade. :goodvibes

Ahhh, Spectro!!! :cloud9: I think it is my favorite, but I REALLY enjoyed the "Once Upon a Christmastime" parade as well. It's a close second.

For the contest...
Part A: Grand Floridian Cafe, Tusker House, Kona, Liberty Tree Tavern, Les Chefs.

Part B: One

Bonus: LeCellier

We'll see how I do there. :lmao:

I am planning on our meet, I figure I can just call you when I get down there and see what works!! :thumbsup2

That sounds like a good plan to me!!

I do love TTA. I miss Mr. Tom Morrow though, didn't they get rid of that part?

Yes, they did. :sad2: I miss that too.

Hi Leslie!!

Here are my guesses:

A) Yak and Yeti, Rose and Crown, Les Chefs, Crystal Palace, and Brown Derby

B) 2 changes

and add on: Kona

Oh, favorite parade..... well I haven't seen any of the parades all the way through, but on my very first visit when I took the girls (2007) the 3 o'clock parade was running when we came out of Tony's Town Square, after eating lunch. I was so overwhelmed with being in Disney with my girls that I got misty eyed (yes I'm a sap) :rolleyes1. So for sentimentality I'd say that's my favorite. (Did ya like the book?) :rotfl:
Now on to the contest:
A. Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, Kona Cafe, Hollywood Brown Derby and Rose and Crown
B. three
C. Jiko

I think the Electrical Parade might be my favorite one they have currently. Either that or Celebrate A Dream Come True.

As for the contest, I'll give it a try, but I can't promise that I won't be confusing the ADRs from this PTR and your other one.

Part A: Kona Cafe, Liberty Tree, Brown Derby, Rose and Crown, Plaza Restaurant

Part B: I'm thinking 1

Bonus: Yak & Yeti
